Chicago – After five people had robbed a woman on the red line in September, the police of Chicago released security images of the suspects and asked the public for help in identifying them. On one photo, the challenging suspect looked directly at the CTA monitoring camera, so that his middle finger expanded to the lens.
Now is a man who looks like the bird -compelling robber accused of crime. David Mitchell, 19, is at least the fourth person who is identified and loaded in the case. Public Prosecutors say that Mitchell is on juvenile conditional release for carjacking and, judged delinquent ‘several’ times, he has been the subject of ten youthful conditional commodities.
Mitchell and four other people, including two young people, confronted a 19-year-old woman on the 69th Street Red Line platform around 9:38 pm on September 28, claimed public prosecutors. One of the young people pointed to a firearm on the woman while Mitchell, 19-year-old Marvell Colone, and the others demanded her property. Colone took the woman’s phone out of her hand, while others took her bookbag and wallet, according to the allegations.
The young people were charged on October 10 and October 12. Marvell was arrested in November.
Chicago Cops recently went looking for Mitchell near his house, so that he could be accused of the robbery. When they found him, he had a loaded 9 millimeter gun in his jacket pocket, say public prosecutors. CPD officers said he told them that he had ‘found’ the gun in a car.
In addition to the CTA robbery, he is accused of robbing a woman under shot in the 7400 block of South Euclid on September 11, 2023.
