For all fashion and retro game enthusiasts who are there, Atari has collaborated with watch manufacturer Nubeo to launch a specially designed asteroid watch. It was released to commemorate the 45 -year anniversary of the game (despite the fact that it was released in 1979).
The watch is designed with a multi -layered disk system that reflects the iconic gameplay of the game. It has a Japanese automatic movement, steel cupboard and sapphire crystals. Moreover, it has a water resistance up to 200m depth.
Reading the time on this watch is not as easy as on your smartwatch.
Instead of normal hands, two UFO symbols are used to display hours and minutes. The small Delta-shaped spaceship in the middle works like a second hand, while the lasers shot moves over the dial.
To make things even more chaotic, asteroids rotate around the discs, which ensures a completely unique (but possibly confusing) display.
As an added nostalgic touch, the watch is supplied in a box designed to resemble an Atari VCS console and is supplied in five colors: Nebula Blue, Supernova Red, Nightfall, Plasma Pumpkin and Celestial Citrine.
“With his exhibition Caseback, adapted Rotor and engraved details, every Ventana is a rare collection of gem,” the company said.
