A former executive of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange expects Bitcoin could rise higher than the $100,000 level.
Former Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao believes the firstborn cryptocurrency is capable of reaching a higher price following its brief recovery to $100,000 on Tuesday.

Bitcoin embraced the new year on a positive note as the crypto registered a recovery that catapulted it to the $100,000 mark.
Zhao, who is also the founder of Binance, suggested that the top crypto assets could do better and surpass the $100,000 price point.
“100k is boring, right?” Zhao said in a post, responding to Bitcoin’s recovery.
Investors have seen Bitcoin regain its lost glory after reaching $100,000 after the digital asset fell to the key level on December 19 and remained below $100,000 for quite some time before gathering momentum to propel it to this milestone level.

Bitcoin is destined to reach new heights
Zhao, popularly known as CZ, claimed that Bitcoin is much more capable of reaching a price above $100,000. That’s why the former crypto company executive wasn’t surprised when BTC made a comeback and rose in the past 24 hours.

Last month, Bitwise CEO Matt Hougan predicted that the bullish run because cryptocurrency would still gain momentum until 2025. Hougan expects other top crypto assets to rise in price, with Bitcoin leading the way.
Hougan believes BTC could reach as high as $200,000 before the end of 2025, claiming inflows from Bitcoin ETFs could boost demand from corporate entities. This would consequently increase their exposure to the top crypto asset.

Zhao has a positive outlook for cryptocurrencies, saying 2025 would be a “send it year” for digital assets. According to analysts, the term ‘send it’ is used when excitement builds around cryptos due to rising prices.

Other market analysts agree that digital asset prices will experience an increase in 2025, driven by the adoption of cryptocurrencies by institutional investors and national governments.
While the former CEO of Binance believes Bitcoin will cross $100,000, Zhao has none price prediction for the year. However, there were occasions when Zhao hinted that Bitcoin could be traded for $850,000 per coin.
