The 14-year-old boy who was accused of fatal shooting of an innocent 16-year-old girl while she was ordering her scooter in a Bronx schoolyard fighting this week behind bars during his preliminary guide in the hospital.
The teenager, confronted with a second-degree murder attack in connection with the death of Morris High School First-year student Evette Jeffrey, was dressed in red pants and a black T-shirt and sat on a hospital bed when he appeared on a screen in the courtroom.
The violent younger – whose name was not officially released because he is a youthful perpetrator – did not owe the fatal shooting on Monday evening by his lawyer of lawyers Francis White, who was sitting by his side.
“The suspect fired countless shots in the direction of about 20 school-going children,” said Assistant Officer of Justice Timothy Collins. “The suspect hit an innocent bystander, a 16-year-old girl, in the head. The incident is on video. The suspect is identified as the shooter.”
Despite his tender age, the alleged shooter had already sustained an earlier attack on his rap leaf, Collins said.
Judge Gayle P. Roberts agreed to order the teenager without a bail to ensure that he returns to the court, “given the very serious nature of the incident allegations, and like his findings of the family court.”
He is also confronted with accusations of attempted murder, manslaughter and three weapons-related violations, according to the complaint. He will appear in court again on Friday.
The boy is said to have used a semi-automatic gun during the early evening Melee outside 800 Home Street in Morrisania, in which three schools are housed. Richard Izquierdo Health and Science and Science Charter School, Bronx Latin and Bronx career and the preparatory high school.
Researchers believe that the Mayhem of the daylight was fueled by a feud between street gangs – the forest about everything that called the crew and an up starting gang that called himself Kreep on Davidson, located in the Davidson Houses Public Housing Complex, said Nypd -Detectives Joseph Kenny earlier this week.
“The victim, Evette Jeffrey, was not involved in this dispute,” said the police officer. “She was an innocent bystander who just tried to find cover behind the brick wall and was beaten by one of the rounds.”
The Gun-Moting teen left after the fatal shooting but was caught the next morning when he tried to get into a taxi, Kenny said.
Family members said that Evette celebrated her one-year anniversary with her also 16-year-old boyfriend in a Chinese restaurant after school on Monday and decided to stop at the playground-where she was in the fire line.
“She died here,” the girl’s grandmother told The Post earlier. “They would just breathe new life into her, but she died here.”
“She’s 16,” said the tearing grandmother. “That’s it.”
She could not bring herself to forgive the young shooter who took the life of her granddaughter.
“I don’t forgive you,” she sobbed. ‘I keep your family responsible because they should keep an eye on you. Those who handed you [the gun] Or had it, I’ll never forgive you. ‘
“They could say that I regret a million times, and I will never forgive anyone of you.”
The police are still looking for a 12-year-old boy who, according to them, has handed over a gun to the shooter, says sources.
