CHICAGO – Two boys, including a 13-year-old, are charged with attempted murder for stabbing and seriously wounding a man during a gang attack outside a McDonald’s restaurant on Nov. 14.
Chicago police said an 18-year-old man was walking in the first block of North Western Avenue when a group of men attacked him around 9:23 p.m. At least one person in the group pulled out a sharp object and stabbed the victim repeatedly. leaving him in critical condition, according to CPD.
No arrests were immediately made. Now, police say a fugitive task force has arrested the 16-year-old and the 13-year-old to face charges in the case. Authorities took both boys into custody Tuesday in the 4100 block of West Wilcox.
Both are charged with attempted first-degree murder and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. No other information is available about the boys because they are minors and their cases are protected from public review.
