A crazy attacker caught a straphanger in a metro station in a lower Manhattan early Saturday morning – and the police called in the help of the public while hunting the violent brutal.
The 57-year-old male victim was at about 12:46 pm in the 14th Street-Union Square Station when a verbal dispute broke out with the male suspect, according to the NYPD.
The police said that the suspect rammed an unknown sharp object in the right eye of the victim before he fled the station on foot.
Subspring images released by the authorities show the seemingly young attacker who runs calmly and looks over his shoulder before jumping over the metro -Tournique while holding a brown paper bag and an unknown black object.
The suspect wore a green hood sweatshirt, a black leather jacket, black gloves, dark pants and white sneakers, The images can be seen.
First Responders transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue for treatment in a stable state, the police said.
It was not known whether the attacker and the victim knew each other.
