A Buffalo Bills fan seemingly tried to use the snowy weather to their advantage on Sunday night as they appeared to toss a snowball from the stands to try and block a San Francisco 49ers player’s go-ahead field goal attempt.
Video shows 49ers kicker Jake Moody preparing for a 33-yard attempt in the first quarter of the game as flurries fell from the sky and a dusting of snow covered the field at Highmark Stadium in western New York.
As the football sailed through the goal posts, a snowball appeared to nearly block it to no success.
Moody’s score was enough to give the Niners the lead, however, Bills Mafia would later use the wintery weather as a way to show love to their squad.
Fans tossed snowballs in the sky to celebrate the team’s running back, Ray Davis, scoring a touchdown that took the lead away from San Francisco.
Chilly temperatures and lake-effect snow hit Orchard Park, New York — the site of the primetime game — over the weekend which prompted the Bills to ask fans to help shovel the stadium out for $20 a hour, food and hot drinks ahead of time.
The victory helped the Bills clinch their fifth-straight AFC East title.
