Chicago – A Californian man is confronted with charges for crimes because she is said to steal a woman’s phone while they prepared for a flight at MidWay International Airport.
Jermaine Harris, 33, from Fresno, was released to wait after the incident of March 19, but he did not show up before the court and an order is now active for his arrest, according to public registers.
The theft would take place when Harris and a 23-year-old woman were in the suburbs at Gate B1 and prepare for a flight from Southwest Airlines around 5:20 am to Denver
A police report in Chicago said that Harris took the woman’s phone out of her hand and put in his pocket. He refused to give it back and an argument followed, which eventually resulted in a police response to the gate, according to the report.
The officers would have found the woman’s phone in Harris’ pocket during a search.
Things deteriorated after Harris arrived at the District Police Office of Chicago (8th). In the Harris arrest report, a CPD -SUPERVISOR noted that he “Department computers and the fingerprint machine” in the Lockup area district.
He also bit an officer in his hand, broke the skin and hit two other agents and detention means, according to public prosecutors.
Officers of Justice accused him of crime theft, four counts of aggravated battery of a peace officer and criminal criminal damage to government possession.
The woman missed her flight because of the incident, but Southwest booked her on another flight that left the same morning.
