Chicago – prosecutors On Saturday, the meticulous detailed efforts that the Chicago police made when they tried to resolve the double murder of two students outside Innovations High School a year ago. Researchers searched social media messages, telephone records, car theft reports and countless hours of surveillance video to identify the three armed men: one who died last year, another who has not yet been charged, and the 22-year-old Tommie Coleman.

Coleman was in court for his first performance when prosecutors laid their case against him. At the end of the long hearing, judge ordered William Fahy Coleman held pending the trial.

Around 12.30 pm on January 26, 2024, youth friends Monterio Williams, 17, Robert Boston, 16, and a group of other students from innovations to the first block of North Wabash. When they approached nearby CTA station, a stolen Infiniti SUV stopped on Wabash. Three shooters jumped out of the car and shots shot for about 15 seconds, said prosecutors.

Both boys were killed. A bullet closely missed the 25-year-old woman who happened to pass by. A bullet pierced her Jashuls and fell into his lining.

Within a few hours the police received a tip that the now deceased person participated in the shooting, said public prosecutors. A house search order on the Instagram account of that person unveiled a video that, according to the prosecutors, was recorded in the stolen SUV about 18 minutes after the murders.

In the video, the deceased shooter sang “the verse of a song that refers to masked and armed with others in a stolen car and getting out and shooting at opposition,” said prosecutors. Detectives are said to have obtained another video that Coleman recorded on the front seat of the SUV, while the now dead shooter took his video in the back seat. Coleman’s Video also showed that all three suspects had weapons, said prosecutors on Saturday.

Video from the school showed an innovation student who was suspected of being the still appreciated shooter who changes from clothing and leaving the campus about 90 minutes before the shooting, said prosecutors. Video and GPS data of his phone reportedly showed that he boarded a CTA train to Roosevelt and then walked to a nearby parking garage, where video shows that he came to the stolen Infiniti.

Public prosecutors even said that location data from the telephones of all three suspects have kept their devices before, during and after the murders.

Coleman was arrested on Wednesday. He is accused of two counts of murder in the first degree, attempted murder, aggravated dismissal from a firearm to an occupied vehicle, a criminal in possession of a firearm and not registering as a weapon supply. Prosecutors said he has two things awaiting Indiana, one for car theft and another for owning a machine gun. He was convicted of illegal possession of a weapon in Dupage County in 2021, they said.
