Two boys aged 15 and 16 are confronted with charges in the crime after they have robbed a woman near Goose Island, the police said.

The 30-year-old victim was in the 900 block of West Chicago Avenue when three perpetrators pushed her onto the street and, according to the Chicago police, took her phone around 9.20 pm.

Responding officers saw three people who corresponded to the descriptions of the suspects and they arrested two in an alley near Ogden and Milwaukee Avenue. The third thief, described as a white man who wore black clothing, escaped through the alley.

A spokesperson for CPD said that both detained teenagers have been accused of theft.

CWBCHICAGO was founded in 2013 by five residents of Wigleyville and Boystown who had been discouraged with inaccurate information that was provided during meetings of the local community policing (CAPS). Our coverage area has since been expanded to cover Lincoln Park, River North, De Loop, Uptown and other North Side areas.
