A few was robbed and at night at the time of Boystown, said Chicago police.

The victims, a 23-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man, walked in the 700 block of West Barry when they were approached by four men around 3:25 am, according to a CPD spokesperson.

One of the men waved with a firearm and demanded the valuables and car keys of the couple. The victims kept, handed their possessions and the keys to their black Mercedes-Benz Sedan, the police said.

CPD recovered the Mercedes about an hour later in a alley behind the 4300 block of West Jackson Boulevard. No injuries were reported during the robbery and there are currently no suspects in custody.

The police have not released a description of the robbers.

CWBCHICAGO was founded in 2013 by five residents of Wigleyville and Boystown who had been discouraged with inaccurate information that was provided during meetings of the local community policing (CAPS). Our coverage area has since been expanded to cover Lincoln Park, River North, De Loop, Uptown and other North Side areas. But our mission remains unchanged: to provide original reporting of public safety with a better context and more detail than regular media. Our editorial e -mail address is news@cwbchicago.com
