“The Daily Show” host Desi Lydic found a potential silver lining in the astonishing cost of the U.S. Army’s upcoming 250th anniversary parade — which also happens to fall on President Donald Trump’s 79th birthday.
Saturday’s celebrations in Washington, D.C., will reportedly cost up to $45 million ― with up to $16 million of that figure going to repair the city’s streets after they have been trampled by heavy tanks.
“$45 million and a third of that is just you ripping up the roads?” asked Lydic.
“People don’t usually throw down that hard unless they’re moving out the next day,” she pointed out.
Then came the realization.
“Is Trump moving out the next day?” she asked, as the audience erupted in cheers.
“Could it be?” she added.
