Chicago – a man from Indianapolis flashed a gun with a bank counter who told him that she could not allow him to withdraw money in a Wells Fargo branch in the West Walk, according to a Chicago police report. It happened on the 935 West Randolph location of the bank around 2 p.m. on Monday, according to the report.
Kadrionis Rutledge, 22, would have told the counter: ‘You can’t do this to me. I don’t accept this. This is unacceptable. “
He then lifted his hoodie to expose a firearm, look at the counter and then at the weapon, according to the report.
The bank contacted the police and upcoming officers saw Rutledge step out of a vehicle and walk to the branch. Because he corresponded to the description of the suspect, they decided to stop him for a chat, according to the report.
Reportedly, Rutledge admitted that he had a gun in the bank and told the police that the weapon was currently within the vehicle that they saw him leave, according to the report. But he insisted that he never threatened anyone and he didn’t think the weapon was visible while he was in the branch. CPD restored a charged firearm between the driver’s seat of the car and the center console, according to the report.
A bank counter told officers that Rutledge “was upset because he was not allowed to record funds.”
The prosecutors accused him of two counts of serious abuse with a fatal weapon and illegal possession of a weapon.
Judge Susana Ortiz held Rutledge pending the trial.
