Chicago – A big dog was killed on Saturday afternoon in River North when it apparently made contact with an electrified mangathoes, according to witnesses and other officials. People who work and live in the area believe that other dogs are recently shocked at the same location.
“We worked at work and heard various Yelps. By the time we reported that a dog had died outside, it was too late to start resuscitation, otherwise we would have done that, “said Kristen A., who also placed the incident on Nextdoor. “Several bystanders were so friendly to stay with the young gentleman who had the dog that was inconsolable.”
“We covered the dog with a sheet until the police arrived. The rest of the family arrived and was even more inconsolable, “explained Kristen. She said that the police helped the family to place the dog in their car.
Shortly after the dog was killed, the fire brigade responded to a report from a Stadsstraat light post on the other side of where the incident took place, but it is unclear whether the incidents were related.
A comed spokesperson said that the incident was a “non-owned ownership Mangat”, but the crews responded to offer support while the incident was investigated.
Kristen said that workers opened an electric box, but she said she didn’t know what they were doing. People kept coming and going on the sidewalk, which was not closed for foot traffic.
“We finally put signs on the box, because we are still unclear whether the problem has been solved.”
While the Chicago police responded to the stage and asked for a response from the city of the city, a CPD spokesperson said they had no information about it. We sent questions to other city departments during the weekend and waiting for answers.
Note of the editors: This story has been updated to indicate that the fire was a city traffic post.
