Chicago a 17-year-old boy was shot while he was in Rogers Park on Friday evening, according to the Chicago police. The shooter stays loose.

CPD said the boy in the 7300 block of North Ridge was walking the shooter around 10:03 am opened the fire of a gray SUV.

He is the second person who was shot in Rogers Park this year. On January 14, a 62-year-old man was grazed by a bullet when someone fired shots in the 7400 block of North Damen. Since 2022, the neighborhood has seen 31 or 32 shooting victims every year. There were 24 victims in 2021.
