For the artist established in Queensland Shane Drinking waterSelf-imposed limitations offer an important starting point for works that it creates in ink, pen, acrylic and collage altime in a square format of approximately 50 by 50 centimeters. Arrows, crosses, dots and songs build linear elements and patterns, while primary colors form the basis for occasional green or gradient.

Based on a lifelong love for cards, numbers and astronomical graphs, drinking water continues to investigate the possibilities of fictional cosmic networks (earlier). In some pieces, concentric circles look like diagrams of the solar system, while in other references to comets or esoteric systems, the imaginary effect of atomic phenomena or alchemical experiments suggest.
