What these neighborhoods really need is a “team” car.
Great crime increased with a striking 70% in t. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Bronx and Queens District Since the ‘Defund The Socialist legislator of the police in 2019, the Double of the city-wide increase of 30% compared to the same span, a postal analysis of NYPD data shows.
The 110th district in Queens, which includes part of the infamous ‘market of sweethearts’ of human traffic and prostitution mecca on Roosevelt Avenue, saw an increase of 105%, the highest increase in a NYC district in that period.
Large crimes consist of murder, rape, theft, crime attack, burglary, Grand Larceny and car theft.
The 115th district, which also serves part of Roosevelt Avenue in addition to Jackson Heights, East Elmhurst and North Corona, saw the large violations rise by 85%.
The other four districts in its Queens-Bronx Congressional District saw a major crime higher than the city average.
Some residents blamed the always lawlessness to the legislator without a show.
“She doesn’t do st. She doesn’t live in the neighborhood, she doesn’t care,” ventilated the resident of Elmhurst Guadelupe Alvarez, who has lived her entire life in the 110th district and is one of the various voters who had the Jet setting absenteeism “Squad” member turned to “waste” while she addresses himself “
Alvarez, 34, a former AOC supporter, has had to endure a brothel that across her youth home across her childhood, and the drunken men says that she is constantly swarming in and out of the spot. She said that she also regularly witnesses gang activity, car thefts and attacks, but nothing is done.
She dreamed of building a life in the neighborhood, but not anymore.
“I can’t wait to get my language – the F – K from here. It makes me so sad that they have done that to push me out of my neighborhood. And I am not the only one … I could never have a family here.”
Alvarez tried to raise the issue with Ocasio-Cortez when she met her in a town hall in the Bronx last year, but did not get anywhere.
“I asked,” Are you aware of how terrible it has become? When was the last time you were in Jackson Heights, Elmhurst? ” She ignored me and told me: “You can ask this person questions” … which I think was her assistant.
“I think it is disrespectful. You are there because of people from my community and you do not do S – T for our community.”
Elmhurst’s Ramses Frias, a candidate from the Republican city council, also damaged the absent AOC.
“You have a mouth to speak. People suffer. They are afraid to go outside,” he told the post.
Even in January, residents begged the federal government to clean up the streets, and told them illegal brothels, brutal gang activity and regular attacks have made it an emergency of public safety.
AOC has stopped in the rising crime in her district.
For a short period it worked, but as usual, it was up to business, with prostitutes who offered sex in broad daylight, older people were pushed the stairs, and Random abuse and robberies.
AOC Mum is not just about crime, critics say that her inflammatory anti-Cop rhetoric has contributed to the unprecedented recruitment crisis at the NYPD.
“Nobody wants to become a police officer, it is so reduced,” says Hannah Meyers, director of police and public safety at the Manhattan Institute. “And that influences every position that the police do.
“It’s her district, she should look forward to people there. She has such a myopic focus on race,” she added, and noted that most victims of crime in her district are black or Spanish. “You do not help the victims of crime talk about how the system is racist.
“Rhetoric is really powerful,” said Meyers.
At the height of the Defund the police movement, Ocasio-Cortez hit a proposed $ 1.5 billion cut to the NYPD if it didn’t go far enough. That year New York Finest has canceled an incoming cadet class that would have added 1,163 officers to the force.
“Defunding Police means transfigerous police,” the socialist legislator stated in June 2020. Since then she has doubled, in 2021 the concern about the rise of crime as “hysteria”, and in 2022, claim “police budgets claim have nothing to do with crime levels.” Last year they and other “Squadron” members voted against a resolution that condemned efforts to relax local law enforcement agencies.
“She talks about the entire fight against the oligarchy, and that’s what she’s about – the poor people. And yet most people in her district are scared, they don’t feel that they can walk out the door without meeting a drug dealer or a wallet or a whore,” said Betsy Branter Smith of the National Police Association.
“And that goes against everything that you know she is standing. If you don’t feel safe, you’re not free.”
Before the analysis, the function looked at the historical crime data of the NYPD for the seven major crime crime for the district that participated in the 14th conference district of Ocasio-Cortez during its time in function-the 43rd and 45th Precints in the Bronx and the 109th, 110th, 114th and 115th Precints in Queens.
The Ocasio-Cortez office has not returned the post for comments.
