The popular Battle Royale game Fortnite has finally returned to the American App Store in the midst of GameMaker Epic Games’ Long Lange Legal Skirmish with Apple.
Fortnite is from Tuesday Also available In the Epic Games store and Altstore in the EU. It will soon appear in App Store search assignments, Epic said in a message about X.
Apple removed Fortnite from the App Store in 2020 after Epic added an option for people to make in-game purchases using the virtual currency of Epic, for which the company offered a 20% discount. Epic then went into the offensive and complained Apple.
A judge ruled in favor of Epic and discovered that Apple was in ‘deliberate violation’ of rules that prohibit competitive prices. Last month, the judge said that Apple should allow developers to collect payments outside the App Store and not to raise tax costs on it.
Following the ruling, epically re -submitted Fortnite to the App Store – but was confronted with an approval delay. The company accused Apple to block the game live in the US and EU.
Earlier this week, the American district judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers said in a submission that Apple should approve the submission of Epic or demonstrates that it had a legal basis to block it. That possibly things in favor of Epic tilted.
The new version of Fortnite available in the App Store also offers a cashback of 20% for directly buying in-game items from Epic instead of using the Apple in-App-App-APPOPSHOPHODE.
