Shopping the Black Friday sale can be a challenge, especially if you want a new smartwatch, but this deal makes life much easier.
If you’re considering a new Android-compatible smartwatch, I’d now highly recommend the Galaxy Watch FE as one of the best budget smartwatches for most people. It’s certainly the cheapest Samsung model I’ve seen on Black Friday, marked down to its lowest price ever.
It only comes in one specification, but in a few different colours, making it easier to price and compare. The watch normally costs £199 in the UK, but Amazon has dropped the price to just £168 for Black Friday.
That’s a savings of 16%, which isn’t the biggest discount figure, but it does bring this smartwatch to its lowest price ever.
A few other retailers, such as John Lewis And Curriesgot the watch for a similar price – just £1 more. The latter offers 4 months of Apple TV+, which could make it more valuable overall.
But if you want the Galaxy Watch FE at the outright best price, then this Amazon deal is for you. Beware of other listings on Amazon in the $110-$120 range, all of which are offered by third-party sellers without many reviews. We recommend you stick with the real deal!
In the US, there’s a slightly better deal on Samsung’s entry-level 2024 smartwatch. The Galaxy Watch FE normally retails for $200, but for the Black Friday sales it’s down to $126.71. Note that you only get a 1 year warranty instead of 3 like in the UK, but the better savings make this deal hard to beat.
However, if you want to grab one of these deals, you’ll need to act quickly. Amazon’s Black Friday sale ends after Cyber Monday December 2but with the items offered it is possible that this smartwatch will be sold out before then.
In our review we said the FE has a “sleek and classic” design and “particularly impressive” automatic activity detection and sleep tracking. It might be a repackaged Galaxy Watch 4, but deals like this make it that much more tempting.

This smartwatch is not too big or heavy and weighs only 26.6 grams. The Samsung Galaxy Watch FE only comes in one 40mm size.
While big smartwatch fans might be disappointed, the 1.2-inch super-AMOLED screen with sapphire crystals is quite large and large enough that tapping doesn’t feel finicky – although the bezel is one of the thickest around
Thanks to the IP68 and 5ATM water resistance, you can use this watch in the rain as well as in the pool.
There’s a wide range of health and fitness tracking options available on the Samsung Galaxy FE, but it’s worth saying straight away that you’ll get the most out of the features if you have a companion Samsung phone.
