A Georgian teenager was arrested Tuesday in connection with a pair of shootings after his father reported him to police, authorities said.
Lequan Stephens, 16, is charged with aggravated assault, according to the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office.
The Lovejoy Police said officers responded to a shooting in the 2500 block of Lovejoy Crossing Lane on January 17.
Police said they found a vehicle in the front passenger seat with gunshot wounds to the face and neck.
Investigation shows that the suspect shot at the car, hitting the victim, after which he fled the scene.
Authorities later identified Stephens as the alleged shooter and obtained warrants for his arrest.
According to law enforcement, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation has also secured arrest warrants for Stephens in connection with a separate shooting.

The sheriff’s department said it conducted a coordinated, multi-agency operation at several homes associated with Stephens’ family members and acquaintances.
“Law enforcement made it clear that Stephens had no place to hide and would receive no help,” the department said in a statement.
After more than 48 hours on the run, Stephens was reported to police by his father, authorities said.
