For many reasons, Google Pixel telephones are popular, including regular pixel drops full of new functions.
The brand has entered a rhythm of a new pixel drop every month. However, the April update contains only one new function, which is far from the typical 15-20 that we are used to.
So although it is a quiet month, Pixel -telephone users can still enjoy the new Gemini Live function, which can completely change the way you deal with the AI assistant.
You can now show Gemini what you are looking at via the camera of the telephone or share your screen to ask a question or receive advice. The short video -example, shows someone who asks what kind of shark she sees in the aquarium, which is pretty neat -it’s like you have that quiz expert friend who knows everything with you.
The camera and screen division function is available for free for all Pixel 9 users (all models), or for anyone with a Gemini Advanced subscription -so it is not exclusive for Pixel 9 -Vhone.
The Pixel Drop of April contained another function outside the phones, but it is more limited because it is specific to Pixel Watch 2 and Watch 3. You also have to be connected to Pixel 9 via Bluetooth in the US and to speak English.
If you happen to check all these boxes, the detection of the scam – an existing pixel telephone function, which is now coming to the watches – is available for you. It will help you to avoid calls from nasty sources, although Google admits that it is not 100% accurate.
Google says: “Your Pixel Watch warns you on a scam Midden-Call when it receives a Bluetooth signal from your Pixel 9 telephone. So if you are on the road, you can be warned about a scam calling without having to delete your phone.”
