At the end of the year, Google’s Gemini could be the dominant mobile AI assistant according to the CEO, which appears on almost every smartphone in the work.
Sundar Pichai was discussed in court about the plans of his company for AI, and he revealed that Gemini could be added to iOS 19 if it was launched later this year.
Since Gemini is already the dominant AI assistant on Android, the world’s largest operating system (let alone mobile OS), a switch to iOS Google’s AI would bring into a powerful position.
The biggest rival of the company, Chatgpt, is already partially integrated into the function set of iOS 18’s Apple Intelligence, but the presence on Android does not exist unless you download the Chatgpt app.
Why Gemini almost certainly comes to iOS
Pichai claims to have held a number of conversations with his Apple opposite, Tim Cook, in 2024, with an AI deal that is probably beaten in the middle of 2025.
Code found in the iOS 18.4 beta earlier this year, this Gemini iOS integration seems to confirm.
This may sound like a strange partnership, given the enormous editions of Apple on his own AI initiative, but there are a few things to notice.
As Bloomberg notes, Apple has always been pragmatic in areas where Google has unparalleled expertise. YouTube always installed in advance on early iPhone models, while Google also used to offer the mapping solution of the iPhone before Apple Maps was launched in 2012.
Greater than both provisions, the Apple deal with Google is for the last to offer the standard search engine on Safari – a deal that is worth billions of dollars every year.

Apple Intelligence does not look too smart
The fact that a similar deal seems to be beaten in the emerging world of AI, says in itself. It suggests that Google has already established a dominant position in this young industry and that Apple is far from the pace.
It is predicted that Apple will finally launch its AI Siri revision with iOS 19, which will be launched next to the iPhone 17. Widespread rumors about fighting and mismanagement seem to explain why Apple’s big AI-Push was stuck after the launch of the iPhone 16.
It seems that Google can be ready to dive into and offer iOS a number of much -needed smart smarts.
