One of the three men accused of participating in a highway recording at Thanksgiving Night in 2023 received a 6 -year prison sentence on Thursday.
Rishaud Rhodes, 20, who was confronted with several attempted murder attacks, argued guilty of a less serious counting of aggravated resignation from a firearm to an occupied vehicle. Judge Sophia Atcherson gave him the prison sentence, which must be operated at 50% before he is eligible for release.
Around 11:15 pm the victim and his two passengers drove to the west in a Chevy Malibu on the Eisenhower Expressway close to Leavitt Street when a gray Audi flowed behind them.
The driver of the Audi finally went back to the left lane and reduced speed until his vehicle was in line with the Malibu. Prosecutors claim that a person in the backseat of the Audi – later identified as Rhodes – has fired several shots on the victim’s vehicle.
After a few moments, the driver returned from the Audi to the left track and delayed until his car was next to the Malibu. Someone was sitting in the backseat of the Audi, later identified by prosecutors as Rhodes, then shot several rounds on the victim’s car, according to public prosecutors.
The victim hit his brakes, but the Audi driver turned hard and kept his car close to the victim. At that time, the passenger of the Audi’s pre -position shot more shot on the victim’s car.
Prosecutors said the victim was leaving, but the Audi continued to follow him – until the victim stopped the Harrison District Station of the Chicago, 3151 West Harrison, to get help. Judicial affairs are still active for two other men who are accused of participating in the shooting. The alleged driver, Parrus Harding and Tristian Dent, who reportedly shot from the front passenger seat.
