CHICAGO — A gunman robbed two people in an alley just steps from one of Bucktown’s busiest intersections on Saturday evening.
Police said an 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were in an alley behind the 1600 block of North Milwaukee when a man walked up with a gun and demanded they comply with his orders on their property around 6:12 p.m., and he escaped on foot, heading south, a Chicago police spokesman said.
Police officers tracked one of the stolen items and recovered much of the victims’ property in the 1400 block of North Leavitt. Among the items police found were a Sony camera and a carrying case.
The victims described the thief as a black man, possibly in his 40s, wearing a gray hoodie.
