A shooting on the west side last weekend was a “meaningless” act by a driver furious due to the lane change of another motorist, the authorities said. The revelation then came to the 25-year-old Darion Gaddy officers accusing the firing of the shots that a 55-year-old man injured in the 300 block of South Central on Sunday afternoon.
Justice officers said that Darion Gaddy and the victim were stopped at a traffic light when the victim tried to merge in Gaddy’s job after the light became green. The maneuver forced Gaddy’s vehicle closer to oncoming traffic.
Furious through the Lane Change, Gaddy pulled a gun and shot through his own window on the victim’s car, the authorities reported.
The victim remembered that he heard at least three shots before his windshield shattered and a bullet hit his left arm, explained prosecutors. Gaddy fled the stage while the victim stopped and called for help.
Another motorist who heard the gunfire followed Gaddy and led the police to his location, according to the detention manager of the state. The Chicago police is said to have found two Shell -Omhulsels from Gaddy’s pocket and three more in his jeep, along with a gun in the vehicle.
In the Gaddy arrest report, officers said he told them he had fired shots because two cars tried to drive him.
Judge Shauna Boliker granted the detention of the State and said that the “meaningless” behavior of Gaddy was designed to scare the victim and to make angry, who only changed lane. “
