Chicago – a man who told the Chicago police that he was shot in a West Englewood garage early, asked on Sunday to mark help by marking a passing motorist after no one called 911 to report that shots were fired in the area.
CPD said the shooting took place in the 6100 block of South Damen, a block followed by the Shotspotter Gunfire Detection Network from the city until Mayor Brandon Johnson ended the company’s contract in September.
The 18-year-old said he was in the garage when a man shot him down and fled the scene around 12:10 pm, the police said in a media statement. EMS took the victim to the University of Chicago Hospital with three shot wounds in his legs. The police said he was in good condition.

Despite its supplications, the recommendation of the police superintendent of the city and the opinion of 70% of the inhabitants of Chicago, Johnson eliminated the Shotspotter without a replacement strategy.
