When can House of the Dragon season 3 be released?
According to the announcement on social media, work has started the set. House of the Dragon season 3 consists of eight episodes.
The third season of House of the Dragon has no confirmed release date of HBO, but we can estimate when it can arrive based on earlier episodes.
There were two years between seasons 1 and 2, and the show was not influenced by the strikes in Hollywood, because most of the films were in the UK. Therefore, We estimate that the house of the Dragon will return in mid -2026.
The production on season 2 started in the spring of 2023, with the show back the next summer – which further supports our release forecast 2026.

It is unlikely that we will see Princess Rhaenys (Eve Best) again, while she met her downfall in season 2, episode four on the hands of Vhagar and Aemond.
Dan Fogler (The Walking Dead, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them) is cast as Ser Torrhen Manderly, the second son of Lord Desmond Manderly from White Harbor, the primary trading port of the North.
Fogler recently went to MCM Comic Con London. In a group interview with Tech Advisor, he has more detailed about his experience on the set:
“I have had a day of photographing so far, and I have been coming for another week … I have looked at the show, and then you are suddenly in a scene with the people you like … I really love the storyline of this person, and suddenly it is” oh my God, I am in this person’s storyline “. James Norton has joined the Cast series as Lord Ormund HightTower, the cousin of Ser Otto Hightower.
Many expected us to see the debut of Nettles, a character from the books that the Dragon Sheepstealer and the lover of Daemon Targaryen is. Instead, her storyline seems to have been adapted for Rhaena Targaryen.
Ryan Condal, the co-runner for the first season and showrunner for the second season, Will return for season 3. We also suspect that the maker of the book series, George RR Martin, will return as an executive producer.
What could the Plot of House of the Dragon season 3 be?
The third season will probably be selected if the Targaryen Civil War starts escalating, also known as the dance of the dragons. Westeros was divided by the two claims on the throne: one of King Aegon II Targaryen, who took the throne after his mother Alicent heard her deceased deceased realms say that he wanted his son to become an heir.

The greens seemed to be in a much weaker state. After hearing of the new dragons, Aemond burned the city of Sharp Point in an anger at Vhagar and caused unrest in King’s landing by leading the citizens to starvation.
The King, Aegon, fled King’s landing with Larys strong to Essos. This was mainly due to Aemond who burned him earlier in the season, so he was lame and deformed, unable to perform his duties as leader well.
In the meantime, Alicent tried to agree to a peaceful solution with Rhaenyra, and offered to open the gates of the Red Keep for her while Aemond is distracted in the fight. In the meantime, it is shown that her father Otto Hightower is being caught, but we do not yet know where.
The only source of power came from Tyland Lannister and Sharako Lohar, who seemed to have a fierce army at sea. We also do not know whether Rhaenyra will assume the offer of Alicent or will be war, anyway – we would bet on the last.
In the second phase of the war, the blacks certainly seem to be the stronger side – but after all this is the Game of Thrones universe. Everything can happen. Moreover, Daemon’s vision reveals that the battle will happen above the God of God – but this can be reserved for season 4.

If season 3 follows the same pattern as the last episode, there must be around eight episodes in total.
Condal told Variety the following: “I have had no discussions about it with HBO. I would only anticipate the cadence of the show, from a dramatic narrative perspective, will remain the same from season 2.”
Will there be more than three seasons of House of the Dragon?
