Samsung has officially started rolling out a stable version of one onion 7, but it has not been smooth sailing.
A bug that has been discovered on the Korean version of the software has resulted in a global break of the rollout, and it is not clear when an onion 7 will arrive on the compatible devices that have not received it yet.
However, you can still download a beta version now. Here is everything you need to know about getting one onion 7 on your Samsung Galaxy device.
When does my Samsung Galaxy device get the stable onion 7?
An onion 7 was introduced January 22, 2025And at the time it was only available for the Galaxy S25 series. Samsung has since released three beta versions of the system for the Galaxy S24 series, Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, Galaxy S23 series, Tab S10 series and A55.
The official rollout started on April 7, although it was stopped only a week later. Although not officially confirmed, reliable Leaker Ice Universe posted on X that a “serious bug” was found in the Korean version, which resulted in the suspension “in all other countries”.
As the Verge reports, one onion 7 is no longer mentioned on the Samsung servers as the latest version on many devices that are eligible for the update. It is not clear how long it will take to solve the bug and resume the rollout, but it will probably take longer to appear on your phone or tablet.
