CHILDREN who talk loudly, push themselves and refuse to do their work – it’s enough to drive countless teachers to despair.

But former English and physical education teacher Jonny Oblong made a very drastic move to escape the challenges of the classroom: he changed careers and became a porn star.

Now the 38-year-old can earn hundreds of pounds for a day’s work, compared to the relatively small amounts he received as a teacher in Britain.

For seven years, Jonny taught at a British school before deciding to leave his teaching job for porn after moving to Prague, Czech Republic.

He first came to town at a friend’s bachelor party, unaware that it would become his home.

As The Sun discovered in our last report, the capital has become a thriving hub for the adult entertainment industry, with producers taking over holiday rentals to film high-tech virtual reality adventures.

“People may discover that they have rented a flat where porn has been filmed,” says Jonny.

“It’s not a question of if someone will meet a porn actor here, but when.”

But while some artists have thrived in sex-crazed Prague, others reveal they tried to leave the industry but found their reputations hard to leave behind.

For Jonny, the transition to porn was not difficult thanks to his connections.

“I already knew people in the industry and my friends always joked that I would do well in the porn industry,” he told The Sun.

“When I handed in my resignation, I didn’t tell the school what I was going to do.

“I told them I wanted more flexible hours and the ability to travel, and that’s exactly what porn gives me.”

During his years as a teacher, he worked at a high school, which means it’s possible that teenagers who had him as a teacher could come across his videos.

“It’s entirely possible that they will find my content, I can’t stop that,” he said.

“I hope that’s not the case yet, since they’re still kids. But if they do, that’s not my problem, it’s up to their parents to keep an eye on what they’re watching.

“I accepted that people I know might see me in this job at some point.

“But most people are too embarrassed to put it in my face.”

Awkward chatter

Jonny – who also does live sex shows dressed as a Viking – jokes that his own school days, when he enjoyed being a ‘theatre kid’, helped fuel his new career as an adult performer.

“I know it’s not Oscar-winning acting,” he joked with a grin.

“But I love doing the little scenes and improvising.”

He only appeared on camera less than a year ago, climbing the ladder as a behind-the-scenes assistant to get everything from food to sex toys.

He explains: “I didn’t tell my parents until I was making decent money from it, so they knew I was getting steady work.”

Problems of trade

Jonny hopes his career choice is worth it, because returning to a normal job after porn is incredibly difficult for obvious reasons.

Italian porn star Denis Marti, 52, who started his career in the 1990s, decided to leave the industry to become a restaurateur in his home country.

“At the time, I and others felt that the Internet was reducing the quality of pornography when I decided to take a break,” he says.

“I got into the restaurant business and became a chef, but it was difficult because I felt like people would judge me for being in porn.

“There seemed to be some suggestion that I couldn’t do my wages because I’d been in porn, which was a shame.

“People were always bringing up my past, so I decided I might as well go back to porn because I’m good at it and I have talent there.”

Dark side of pornography

Like any industry, the pornography industry has a dark side.

Suicides, drug overdoses and human trafficking are a seedy underbelly that has recently made headlines in both Europe and the United States.

In January this year, porn star Thania Fields was found dead after she said she had suffered ‘sexual abuse’ at the start of her career in porn.

She said at the time: “I faced sexual harassment and abuse after I started creating adult content. It’s very strong.

“Many thought that by hiring me they could do whatever they wanted with me, but then I came home, took a bath and cried.”

Recent deaths in the US include star Angelina Please, Dahila Sky and Olivia Lua.

Former director Tommie McDonald says he left the business after being confronted with a number of horrific situations.

He says at least two models he knows committed suicide while he was still producing, and many more simply seemed to disappear.

He said: “Over the years I worked in the industry, suicides were unfortunately quite common.

“Eastern European women are often brought into the industry by human traffickers and forced to film porn under the threat of violence.

“It’s hard to work in this industry without changing your morals because there’s so much going on.

“I have also heard of rape allegations against top producers and suggestions that people were drugged on set before filming.

“It was also common in Europe for a while that talent would fake obvious tests so that they could still work even if they had been in contact with something.

“There was an HIV outbreak in Europe about five years ago, which fortunately changed the way testing was done.”

Denis, who speaks six languages, got into the industry while studying in Rome for his PhD in English and Spanish Comparative Literature as a way to pay the bills.

The reputation he had built as a reliable male performer allowed him to return to the world after twenty years of work.

“A lot of my fans have been asking me to go back to it for a few years,” he said.

“They felt my kind of romantic porn was lacking because things focused on more hardcore scenes.

“I love creating scenes that require storytelling and connection. It’s all romantic.”

Denis thinks the internet takes away the mystery of porn stars[/caption]

One thing he’s noticed since his return is the shift in power to the artist thanks to platforms like OnlyFans and X, formerly Twitter.

Plus, social media makes it easier for fans to get in touch.

“There is basically no barrier,” he said.

“Porn stars are no longer the mysterious thing you only find at conventions. It’s a click of a button.

“I know production companies aren’t keen on sites like OnlyFans, but it’s a great way for artists to find a specific niche and generate income for themselves.”

Mari Galore, 29, who filmed Denis’ first scene with him, is an artist who makes the most of fan sites.

Considering her heavily tattooed body, despite her small stature, she is not the typical porn girl.

“I’m kind of special in this industry because of my tattoos,” she said.

“In Europe they don’t like to give work to people they consider ‘freaky’. It is a form of discrimination.

“So I do a lot of my own work, which is nice for me, and sometimes I work with productions if they want me to.”
