“I was afraid to be reprimanded, so I first hid my career for them,” Mona explained.

“For months I lived a double life – photographing videos in secret and I hope that none of my family members would encounter on my social media accounts.

“My friend was the only one who knew what I was planning.”

However, the 33-year-old was so incredibly successful on the site that her influx of cash soon became too difficult, so she decided to tell her mother.

“I was worried that she would be upset,” she said.

“I was amazed by her reaction – she was not stunned at all.

“Mama was really supportive and encouraged me to pursue my passion.”

And although her mother’s support came to her career choice as a surprise for Mona, she was “even more shocked” about how her “other family members responded”.

When she shared how much money she only earned on fans, some of her family members were intrigued and two even asked if they could “follow in her footsteps” on the site.

“Two of my family members now have accounts themselves!” She laughed.

“I gave them some tips about filming good videos – the lighting, setting the scene etc. – but I don’t look at their content.
