I'm an Olympic champion who earns less than the average salary – that's why I like to cash in on OnlyFans

DIVE star Jack Laugher admits he loves the fact that people pay to ogle his body on Only Fans.

The Sun revealed how Laugher and teammate Noah Williams used the subscription site to raise money.

And Laugher, who was awarded the MBE after winning springboard gold, silver and bronze at the Rio and Tokyo Games, is not at all ashamed of showing off his pecs.

Yorkshireman Laugher, 29, said: “Obviously I have something that people want and I’m happy to make money from it – I don’t care.

“I have done other side activities. I’ve made underwear model calendars. I’ve been doing other things to try to just make a little more money.

“Of course I understand the way it is perceived, I understand it. I understand that people may look at it negatively.

“But I know what I’m doing. I feel comfortable with what I do.

“It clearly states on my profile that there is no nudity and I am not trying to put anyone in a bad light or present myself as someone I am not.

‘I’ve just always loved modelling. I’m about a foot too short to be a real underwear model, probably missing about five out of ten on the scale of how good looking I am.

“But I’ve always liked doing it. I like to show myself and that’s what I do, but this way I can earn myself a little money and prepare myself a little better for the future.

Laugher said he is now being approached by other divers – and athletes from various sports – looking for tips on following him into the Only Fans deep.

He said: “Like most Olympic sports, there isn’t a lot of money to be made in diving.

However, he has revealed that he is only receiving £28,000 in funding[/caption]

Jack says the funding hasn’t changed since 2011[/caption]

‘We’ve all just seen Wimbledon. The prize pool to win that is extraordinary. If you go out in the first round, you get more than I make in an entire year as a funded athlete.

“When I was younger, my dad used to say, ‘If you win an Olympic gold medal, that’s worth £1 million.’

‘But it isn’t. That’s not even close – and I can tell you that as someone who DID win an Olympic gold medal.

“The financing has not changed since I started working in 2011. So when I first went it was £21,000 for the top eight in the world. And at the time, as a 16-year-old, I was buzzing with that.

“I’m almost 30 now, I’m in the top three in the world and it costs £28,000 a year, which is obviously a very good salary and very liveable.

“But it is not, as it were, a generally seen sports salary.

“So yeah, I’m trying to make extra money. I’ll do anything to get some more.

Laugher added: “There are a lot of us, not just me and Noah, even though we are the big two at the moment.

“I also had other athletes from other countries reporting about it and I saw Nick Kyrgios doing something about it as a partnership with them.

“As a platform, they may be trying to change the way they are perceived.

“But there are a lot of athletes in this team, some of them will never reach the top or reach the top three in the world.

“That is the reality for many athletes in many sports. And in Olympic sport you may never reach that funding position.

“I have friends who are in college and have to work in bars until three in the morning and then have to come and try to be an Olympian.

“And that is difficult. So look, we’re all trying to make as much money as possible. We all know things are tight at the moment.

“I love what I do and I love this sport and I am so grateful for this position. But who doesn’t like a little more money if you can get it?”
