At 36 Boundary Street in London, a striking new mural rises 5 meters above the street. Anchored by scales on top of a small seedling, the public artwork passes by Shepard Fairey focuses on environmental justice and our responsibility to care for the planet.
“I believe that our individual and collective actions will have a dramatic impact on current and future generations, for both good and bad. It is our responsibility as citizens of the earth to protect the earth,” the artist said.

A series of workshops with young Londoners inspired the bright, graphic motif. The group was interested in expanding access to green space and reducing air pollution, and given the recent United Nations General Assembly meeting focused on international cooperation, connecting countries and cultures was paramount.
The project was produced by Charlotte PyattSimon Butler, and Migrating artwhich has raised more than £2.1 million over the past decade through creative projects in refugee camps in France and northern Iraq, with the indigenous Xingu people of the Amazon, and in partnership with British charities feeding London’s unhoused population.
