Rumors about an iPhone culture have been doing the rounds for years, whereby the mythical iPhone is expected to replace or sit above the Pro Max model. 2025 could be the year in which those rumors finally become a reality, because Apple reportedly announces an ultram model with the iPhone 17 series.
A recent report from the NAVER -BLOG (via Gsmarena) claims that Apple will throw away the Pro Max model and it will replace it with the iPhone 17 Ultra. The speculation stems from Supply Chain analysis, which suggests that Apple is preparing for the introduction of new hardware functions that make the ultra possible.
If this sounds familiar, it is because Samsung also has an ultram model in its flagship S series. The Galaxy Ultra models are above the standard S-series of flagships, and these are these ultram models with the best cameras, batteries with the highest capacity and exclusive functions.
If Apple launches an iPhone 17 -Uultra, the iPhone line will follow the Samsung’s Galaxy S series better than ever.

An important change in this iPhone 17 -ultram model can be a smaller dynamic island, but Apple has not ordered enough hardware to deliver this upgrade in both ultra- and pro MAX models. So did it finally decided to leave the Pro Max?
iPhone 17 Ultra is also tipped to only have a cooling system of the vapor room that would improve heat management and make greater performance possible. Moreover, it is expected that a battery with a higher capacity than the iPhone 16 Pro Max-Gsmarena speculates that it can be assessed at 4,685 mAh.
Although it is too early to say for sure whether Apple will indeed throw the Pro Max away in favor of an ultram model, we would certainly not be surprised. After all, 2025 is the year that it decided to end his SE series in favor of the iPhone 16th, and another rebrand in the iPhone line does not require too much of a piece for the imagination.
