Don’t expect Justin Timberlake to be shoveling trash along the Long Island Expressway anytime soon.
Instead, the pop icon will serve his 25 hours of community service within the confines of the cozy justice system itself after reaching a plea deal in his Hamptons drunken driving arrest on Friday, The Post has learned.
But a source close to the singer’s defense team said the “Suit and Tie” star cleans courthouse restrooms or mop jury room floors.
“He would do things like sort documents [for the court clerk]organizing files,” the source said.
Timberlake, 43, will even have the final say on where he will spend his hours, the source said, noting that it will likely be in New York, California or his home state of Tennessee.
The “SexyBack” crooner was eager to close a deal, the source added, ahead of his upcoming Canadian tour dates next month.
“With a felony conviction under his belt, Canada wouldn’t have let him in,” the source explained. “He wouldn’t be allowed in many other countries either, but he makes a lot of money in Canada.”
The source called it “a weak case” and said local prosecutors were also interested in a plea deal.
“There was no blood evidence and he refused the breath test,” the source said.
The prosecutor did not want to rely on “observational testimony” from “a new officer who didn’t even know who the man was,” the source insisted.
Timberlake appeared in Sag Harbor Village Court on Friday and pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of driving under the influence of alcohol instead of the more serious charge of driving under the influence, a misdemeanor.
He was also ordered to pay a small fine and write a public service announcement.
Timberlake’s 2025 BMW was pulled over in the early hours of June 18 after Sag Harbor police allege he blew a stop sign and drifted out of his lane. He then refused to take a breath test three times, police allege.
On the night of his arrest, Timberlake was previously warned not to drive past the officer who later stopped him, The Post previously reported.
Timberlake told the arresting officer that he had one martini at the American Hotel before going to his car. The bartender working that night confirmed the singer’s claim to investigators, the source said.
The singer also told the agent that the incident would “ruin the tour.”
Timberlake’s attorney could not be reached for comment. Prosecutors were also unavailable.
Timberlake has had problems with alcohol for years, sources had told Page Sixand that he is largely made possible by the people around him.
“It’s real, and if you have a drinking problem it’s obvious, but still they forced this tour on him and he’s been in a very dark situation,” the source said.
