Kia EV6 recalled | AutoExpert

Kia Australia is recalling more than 4,000 units of its EV6 electric SUV due to a possible fault in the charging system.

“Due to a software problem, the Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU) may develop an internal fault, causing a warning light to illuminate on the instrument panel and the 12 Volt battery to stop charging. This could result in loss of motive power,” the company says in its recall notice.

“If the warning lights are ignored, loss of propulsion power may occur, which could increase the risk of an accident, causing injury or death to the vehicle occupants and/or other road users.”
