The characters of Nâm are playfully anthropomorphicized and attract kimonos and hair ornaments with a pattern. The series was organically stemging from flowers of flowers in the Ukiyo-E-style.

“I felt it missed something, so I tried to add a cat as the protagonist,” Nâm tells Colossal. “Somehow it still doesn’t feel good, so I think of adding a companion – fishing, butterfly, dragonfly – as if they met at a specific moment.” He called the series fitting A meeting.
A corresponding collection, A floating world, gets more inspiration from the genre, which refers directly to the Japanese word Ukiyo. The term describes a hedonistic lifestyle in EDO – now called Tokyo – in the 1600s, which provides a style of art that recorded the mood and interests of the period. Famous artists such as Hokusai or Hiroshige concentrated on the printing and painting of logs to represent scenes from history, folk stories, Kabuki actors, flora and fauna, landscapes and more.
For Nâm, Ukiyo-E offers the starting point for exploring a series of subject. He is currently investigating ideas for further illustrations that contain different animals and visual cultures.
