Ex-Nassau County Cop Hector Rosario “sold his badge” to the crowd of the crronies to the law to avoid the law “time and again”, said federal prosecutors on Monday.
Assistant -Marican lawyer Sean Sherman told a federal jury while taking out arguments during the Rosario trial that took the alleged dirty agent $ 1500 a month from the Bonanno Crime family and then “lied to hide it.”

Rosario, 51, has been accused of obstructing a large jury probe in racketeering and lying against the FBI, because he reportedly sits together to aim rival Genovese and Gambino Mafiosos during a feud that broke out after a profit schedule went to the south.
The Bonannos and Genoveses had originally agreed to split the recording of the Gran Caffe, an illegal gokhol, said the federal prosecutors.
But the shaky peace eventually collapsed, and Rosario is said to be “sold” to the Bonannos and then fake police raids against rival gangsters’ mini casinos to intimidate them in the closure of the store.

The Bonannos would have added Rosario to the Family Payroll and said he had to hit specific gambling caves around 2013.
On Monday, during her own final arguments, Rosario’s lawyer, Kestine Thiele, claimed that the government did not prove their case because they were concentrating on the crowd, not on Rosario’s alleged actions.
“We ask you not to be influenced by the inflammatory proof of the Mafia,” said Thiele, before we testified the credibility of the Mafiosos that witnessed Rosario from the stand.
“You cannot convince our client of the word of three convicted members of the Mafia who have all lied in the past, who lied with hundreds of people in the course of their criminal behavior and in their personal lives.”
She also said that the FBI had not established a paper trail of payments that went back to Rosario.
“There is no indications that payments are being collected, no text messages or recorded calls or meetings or photos by cash exchange,” she said.
“Ultimately, there is no credible affirmative evidence that Mr Rosario followed with one of the criminal actions on behalf of the crime family.”
The jury is starting to deliberate on Tuesday.
