Chicago – Researchers have tried to determine whether the man who was shot down in Lincoln Park on Wednesday evening and killed in Lincoln Park during a confrontation with package of thieves. That is the early word of a resident who spoke with Chicago Cops and a source of law enforcement.
The 28-year-old victim lived on the 800 block of West Lill, the same block where he was shot around 9.20 pm, but officials have not yet released his name to the public.
Although it makes it clear that the investigation is still young, the source said that the police found a package addressed to a nearby inhabitant near the murder scene, along with a rubber glove. On Thursday, detectives went from door to door, spoke with neighbors and the excavation of video images to help with the research.
CWBCHICAGO reported this morning that a resident reported that a shot had heard a shot, saw a flash and then heard someone shout: “Let’s leave here.” Two people ran from the stage, on their way to Halsted Street.
The witness described the suspects as a black man who was about 5’11 “long, with a gray or white hoodie over his head, and a heavy woman with a gravity, about 5’8” tall, with a navy hoodie.
Ald. Timmy Knudsen (43rd) sent the next E -mail to his voters on Thursday:
Dear neighbours,
Last night a 28-year-old man was shot and killed on the 800 block of W. Lill Ave. The perpetrators fled from the stage. At the moment there is no confirmed information about the victim or a well -known connection between the victim and the perpetrators. Detectives are currently on site to investigate and collect more information. Because we have further updates, we will continue to share with the community.
This is another memory of the work that we as a city have to do to combat violence. I have asked the 19th district to increase patrols in the area, and if we enter the summer, I will continue to push the town hall for the resources that our neighborhood needs.
If you have information that may be useful for the police, call Area 3 Detectives on (312) 744-8261, e-mail caps.019district@chicagopolice.org
Thank you to Chicago’s police for the hard work they do every day. Our office stands with them to ensure that they have the means they need to take the perpetrator of this horrible crime in custody.
