On April 30, 2025, Malaysia launched Malaysia Blockchain Infrastructure (MBI), a step in its digital transformation trip aimed at uniting fragmented digital ecosystems and making blockchain-based services accessible to everyone. Developed by Mimos Berhad and my EC services Berhad, and driven by the Zetrix Public Layer-1 Blockchain, MBI is designed to facilitate seamless cross-border transactions and to improve interoperability in various blockchain networks. The initiative is part of the National Blockchain route map of Malaysia and aims to support a wide range of applications, including traceability of the supply chain and verification of digital identity. With MBI, Malaysia tries to strengthen its competitiveness in the blockchain space, promote digital inclusiveness and promote cooperation between public and private sectors, which ultimately positions the country positioned as a regional leader in blockchain acceptance and innovation.
