Chicago-a multi-processed criminal had another week at the beginning of November: accused of a crime on November 2, released by a judge on November 3, arrested before entering 4 November, released by another judge on November 5 and November and on November and on November and On November 6, the prosecutors say, he almost killed a man with a piece of concrete.
James Garcia, 44, from Calumet City, is now being held as a threat of public safety. He is the 33rd person accused of killing or shooting – or trying to kill or shoot – someone in Chicago last year while he has a crime in treatment. Things include 49 victims, of whom 14 died.
The problems of November started when the police responded to a 911 call from a shopkeeper about a man who threw a fire extinguisher through a shopping window in the 2400 -block of West Devon, according to CPD Records. The police arrested Garcia in connection with the criminal damage and also accused him of a crime drug that reportedly had a bag of cocaine in his pocket.
Judge David Kelly released Garcia the next day.
On the next day, November 4, Chicago Cops Garcia arrested for penetrating on the basis of a complaint submitted by staff at the Safer Foundation, an organization “Return assistance” in the 2800 -block of West Filmore, said another CPD report .
Judge Susana Ortiz released him on November 5, although the violation violated the conditions for the release of the pretrial that he received two days earlier.
About 12 hours after Garcia was released, someone attacked a 49-year-old man with a piece of concrete in the 300 block of South Pulaski.
Chicago Police Detectives have quickly released surveillance images of the suspect to media. They asked for help in identifying the attacker.
According to public prosecutors, Garcia was the attacker.
Surveillance video reportedly shows that Garcia hits the victim with the concrete and causes mass damage to the man’s skull. Other images showed Garcia around with the blood-covered rock after the attack, said a CPD report.
In a detention -Petition, prosecutors said that the victim suffered ‘considerable brain damage’.
Judge Shauna Boliker, who wrote in the order that Garcia kept in prison, said that there was “no evidence” of a relationship between the men. Medical staff believes that there is “no hope” that the victim will recover, the judge said, adding that he “had lost his life” to Garcia.
Unbelievable, two days after the attack, while the police were still trying to identify the attacker, Garcia was arrested again.
On November 8, he was reportedly climbed in the driver’s seat of a Tesla in the 2500 block of West Devon while a woman was in the passenger seat. The woman, 35, feared for her life, saved and sought help from the owner of the car, who had just left.
The man returned to the car and had to physically pull out Garcia, said public prosecutors, and accused him of illegal invasion of vehicles.
Although Garcia was arrested three times in a week, he was still not kept in prison: Judge Ankur Srivastava sent him home on a single monitor.
