CHICAGO — A man is dead and a woman injured after two gunmen opened fire at a Little Village restaurant, Chicago police said.

The front door glass was shattered by bullets at Delicias Mexicanas restaurant, 4148 West 26th, when an officer rolled out a crime scene tape in front of the main entrance Monday around 10:45 p.m.

Police said a 30-year-old man was walking into the restaurant when the gunmen fired their weapons and hit him in the head several times. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to CPD, a woman inside the restaurant was shot in the buttocks by a bullet that went through the glass. The 27-year-old was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition.

Video showed the two shooters emerging from a stolen silver GMC, running to the restaurant and fleeing in the SUV after the shooting. They were last seen heading east on 26th Street.
