CHICAGO – A man is recovering this morning after someone stabbed him during a fight near the Howard CTA station in Rogers Park. The attacker remains on the run.

Police said the 35-year-old got into an argument with several men around 2:10 a.m. on a sidewalk in the 1700 block of West Howard, just outside the train station. During the altercation, one of the men pulled a knife and stabbed the victim in the left leg.

EMS transported the victim to St. Francis Hospital in fair condition.

The attacker was last seen running toward Howard and then south down an alley. Officers were told to be on the lookout for a black man with a backpack, wearing a blue jacket and gray sweatpants.

CWBChicago was founded in 2013 by five residents of Wrigleyville and Boystown who had become discouraged by the inaccurate information presented during local Community Policing (CAPS) meetings. Our coverage area has since expanded to Lincoln Park, River North, The Loop, Uptown and other North Side areas.
