Phase five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe exploded with Deadpool and Wolverine and will be coming soon. MCU Head Honcho Kevin Feige, however, has made some huge announcements for phase six, which (so far) cover from summer 2025 to 2027.
These films have completed different date changes and title changes, but the biggest shake-up came during the Marvel’s Hall H panel in Comic-Con San Diego 2024. The Fifth Avengers film, The Kang Dynasty, was completely deleted from the Marvel schedule.
This is due to the controversies around Jonathan Majors, who was fell by Marvel after he was found guilty of reckless abuse in the third degree.
The Fifth Avengers film will still continue, but Kang will not be the villain -as previous films and TV series would have made us believe.
If you want to know which films are on the cards and when they are released, we have a guide below. You can also view a similar article for phase five.
Fantastic Four: First Steps
Cinema release date: July 25, 2025
With in the lead: Pedro Pascal (Richards), Vanessa Kirby (Sue Storm), Joseph Quinn (Johnny Storm), Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Ben Grimm), Ralph Ineson (Galactus)
Marvel confirmed that it created a Fantastic Four film in 2020, with Matt Shakman director. This MCU adjustment of the FAB Four will take place in the swinging sixties, with a retrofuturistic turn.
It will be set in a separate universe of the holy timeline and the Fantasticar will appear. The villain is galactus, an entity that can devour entire planets. Previous Fantastic Four films have pronounced Doctor Doom as the villain, who will not be the most important opponent of this film … And there is an important reason for that.
Avengers: Doomsday
Cinema release date: May 1, 2026
With in the lead: Robert Downey JR (Doctor Doom), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Pedro Pascal (Richards), Vanessa Kirby (Susan Storm), Florence Pugh (Yelena Belova), Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes), Anthony Mackie)
Marvel Fan-Favourite Robert Downey JR returns to the MCU, but not as an Iron Man. Instead, he plays the iconic villain, Doctor Doom.
The most likely explanation for his casting in the story is that he is a variant of Tony Stark, who uses his intelligence and sparkle for evil instead of good. However, we do not yet know for sure.
It will be accompanied by an absolutely stacked cast that you can find above, including actors from the previous X-Men films such as Patrick Stewart (Professor X), Ian McKellen (Magneto) and Kelsey Grammar (Beast).
Directors Joe and Anthony Russo will return to help the new film.
Spider-Man 4
Marvel Studios
Cinema release date: July 31, 2026
In the lead: Tom Holland, Sadie Sink
Little is known about the fourth Spider-Man film, but Tom Holland has not been confirmed so far that he starts in Avengers: Doomsday. Given the events of No Way Home, many fans expect that this film will go back to the street level crime. There is also suspicion that the film can join Daredevil: Born Again, since Kingpin is originally a Spidey -villain in the strips.
Avengers: Secret Wars

Disney
Cinema release date: May 7, 2027
In the lead: TBA
The Sixth Avengers film is entitled after a comic arch that focuses on an alien, shapeshifting race called the Skrulls, who infiltrates the world and members of the government -as well as the Avengers. It could end that some of our heroes are not who we think they are …
