Ardelean’s dream debut didn’t come in the most ideal of circumstances, however, as she stepped in at short notice to face Ireland’s Shauna Bannon.
The Romanian is not a household name to most casual observers of mixed martial arts.
But she has a huge social media following along with her Instagram with no fewer than 530,000 followers.
Ardelean has amassed her following on the platform thanks to her hilarious skits.
But it’s also partly due to the raunchy side hustle she launched when she was struggling to make ends meet.
In an attempt to fund her dream of making it to the UFC, Ardelean opened an OnlyFans account – where she sells raunchy photos to her loyal members.
Ardelean – who has dubbed herself the ‘Queen of Teasing’ – has amassed an absolute fortune from racy, non-pornographic snaps and videos.
The income she received from the side gig really eased her financial problems, although it ultimately had a somewhat negative effect on her fighting career.

But she shares much more than OnlyFans content on her socials, giving her followers insight into her fighting life[/caption]
She said: “I was training in a gym when I started OnlyFans and I kept getting dirty looks.
“I even got a few messages from wives of guys at the gym saying, ‘You’re such a whatever,’ and calling me names and telling their husbands not to sign up.
‘I was only concerned with myself companybut the hatred was there. Some of the hate was nasty and women at the gym were complaining about me.
“It was just embarrassing. It was like, ‘Shut up, I’m not here to take your husband.
‘This is just my job and I don’t interfere with your work.
“It’s not my fault whether your husband was on my OnlyFans or not.”
“In reality, the only reason I did OnlyFans was so I could afford my workout, nutritionist and gym equipment every day.”
News of Ardelean’s racist content spread like wildfire, so much so that some of her old bullies started attacking her in her direct messages.

She revealed to the Daily star: “I used to get bullied because I was a bit chubby.
“So I started doing MMA about 12 years ago because the guys were a bit aggressive and I was afraid someone was going to hurt me.
“It’s really weird because some of my bullies sneak into my DMs, which is funny.”
Facing UFC-caliber fighters will be nothing new for Ardelean, who has already shared the cage with dominant strawweight queen Zhang Weili.
The pair locked horns in 2016, with Zhang winning their 115-pound clash via second-round submission.
Ardelean has gone from strength to strength since that defeat, winning her last seven in a row and claiming EFC’s vacant strawweight title in March 2023.
