Order order books for the first two “Electric Premium” models that are available in Australia of IM Motors-the luxury brand of the Chinese automaker MG now, with prices for both medium-sized electric vehicles (EVs) that were announced later this year before the first customer deliveries.
The IM5 Electric Sedan and IM6 Electric SUV rivals for the popular Telsa Model 3 and Tesla Model Y-Zullen, respectively, arrive with national prices of $ 60.990 Drive-Away.
According to the MG website, the estimated delivery time for delivering orders is 12 weeks.
The IM5 and IM6 made their local public debut in Melbourne in April, but detailed equipment levels for Australian versions have yet to be confirmed.

Both vehicles share the same 800-volt scalable modular platform as the MG 4 hatchback, but both are longer, larger and wider-with a 200 mm longer wheelbase (2905 mm) that freed more rear executioners than in the MG 4.
Both will be available in the same three closely corresponding specifications – Premium, Platinum and Performance – with prices for all three variants that are also mirrored between the Sedan and SUV.
The $ 60,990, rear-wheel drive IM5 Premium Sedan has a 75 kWh lithium-iron phosphate battery and a single rear axle mounted engine that produces 217 kW power and 450 Nm of torque. It offers a WLTP range of up to 450 km, claims 0-100 km/h gear in 6.8 seconds and quickly charge DC to 153 kW.
Standard equipment includes 19-inch alloy wheels, four-wheel steering, Athena White Paint and a Highland Gray Faux Leather interior.

The IM6 Premium SUV has the same powertrain and identical 450 km of WLTP, but runs on 20-inch wheels.
MG Motor Australia says that standard cabinet rate for all versions includes 26.3-inch and 10.5-inch digital touch screens, a panoramic roof, “luxury” chair finishes and an audio system with 20 speakers.
There is also a 360-degree camera and artificial intelligence (AI) functionality and MG ISMART phone apto access.
The $ 69,990 IM5 Platinum Sedan gets a larger 100 kWh Ternaire lithium battery and a more powerful rear engine that produces 300 kW/500 Nm, which loads a faster 4.9 seconds 0-100 km/h Claim, 655 km WLTP range and 396 kW.

The IM6 Platinum SUV has an identical reach and performance claims, according to the MG website.
The flagship $ 80,990 IM5 Performance Sedan teams The same 100kWh battery with two electric motors to offer four-wheel drive, total outputs of no less than 572 kW/802NM, and claimed a time of 0-100 km/h of 3.2 seconds.
Driving Range is 575 km WLTP on standard 20-inch wheels, and extra standard equipment includes air suspension and adaptive dampers.
The IM6 Performance Sedan comes with 21-inch wheels, a WLTP range of 505 km and a claim of 0-100 km/h of 3.4 seconds.

MG says that both the Sedan and the SUV can be charged from 30 to 80 percent in just 15 minutes.
The IM5 and IM6 are not supported by the 10-year/250,000 km warranty of the MG brand, but by “a leading seven-year-old all-inclusive guarantee when they are maintained within the IM dealer network”.
IM stands for intelligence in motion and in Australia the brand will be officially marketed as IM presented by MG Motor. Launched in China in 2020, all its vehicles were jointly developed by MG Ouder Saic Motor and Chinese companies Alibaba Group and Zhangjiang Hi-Tech.
