A mother of Missouri is behind bars because she reportedly hungry her 1-year death after the toddler did not respond and was covered with blisters of a diaper rash for almost two days of serious neglect, according to local reports.
Alyssa Wehmeyer, 21, was arrested on Tuesday and made charges for child abuse after the authorities heard that the cruel mother had not fed her child for at least 43 hours before the toddler was found dead, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The police started an investigation after they have seen the child suspected of 28 February, KFVS reported.
The inhabitant of Cape Girardeau claimed that she had lasted the young person to go to bed more than 24 hours later around 5 pm and then brought the child to bed more than 24 hours later, according to judicial documents obtained by mcclatchy.
The neglecting mother would have left her child in his cradle for about 19 hours before she found the baby lifeless and did not breathe with blue lips, according to judicial documents.
Researchers later found “serious blisters” on the victim of a diaper rash, the outlet reported.
Allegedly Wehmeyer blamed her destructive carelessness to a ‘migraine’.
She told the authorities that she took a nap after taking three Excedrin, so that she then prevented her from changing the toddler’s diaper or looking for medical care, according to judicial documents.
She is accused of abuse or neglect of a child, resulting in death, according to prison registers.
Wehmeyer is held in the prison of Scott County on a bond of $ 100,000.
