A 21-year-old fashion model sued a designer worth nearly $6,000 on Tuesday to deny allegations that he pulled off a $1 million heist at a luxury boutique in SoHo.
Abdallah Diaby walked through Manhattan Supreme Court wearing a slew of John Varvatos necklaces that — according to a store representative — cost a total of $3,174.
In addition to his severe neck strain, Diaby wore high-top Saint Laurent sneakers worth $775, yellow Balmain biker jeans worth $1,500 and a green plaid Lacoste shirt to his arraignment, where he pleaded not guilty to criminal possession of stolen property and other charges.
Diaby, a Bronx native, was arrested Feb. 19 after security camera footage linked him to a four-person robbery during the early morning hours of Dec. 1, 2025, at Spring Street’s 4Gseller designer boutique, according to the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.
The three other suspects are still on the run.
According to prosecutors, the team rolled up to the swanky SoHo store in a silver Ford SUV, wearing construction vests and black clothing as they climbed the scaffolding using a ladder to enter the store.
The store’s security footage captured the entire robbery.
4Gseller owner Tommy Macari said the brazen bandits had taken many unique, custom-made pieces.
“A bit like the movies, to be honest,” Macari said.
“They just dropped them off the balcony and someone took him to the car.”
Police said the crooks made off with 20 St. Laurent coats, 30 designer handbags and other luxury merchandise.
Diaby is represented by TWO MGMT, a Big Apple modeling agency with many top clients.
He recently modeled in shoots for a collaboration between Sinclair Global and Puma, as well as StockX.
The alleged thief was also dressed stylishly when he made his first court appearance following his arrest in February.
Diaby has been granted supervised release without bail because the non-violent charges are ineligible for bail in New York State.
