Ever intrigued by the possibilities of shadow and scale, Owen Ghent depicts stories of psychological struggle and moral dilemmas. The Bristol-based illustrator works between analogue and digital media to create scenes characterized by grainy textures and bright colours.
Ghent (formerly) often collaborates with editorial clients, and many of the works shown here were commissioned by publications such as The New York Times, Psychology HeuteAnd Middlebury Magazine. The illustrations include various modern fears and dilemmas, visualized by ominous beasts or a twisting row of enormous dominoes about to collapse.
