Police cuffed a 27-year-old man Saturday for stabbing a man who lived in the same building as him in Brooklyn after the two got into a heated argument, according to a criminal complaint and neighbors.
Jayvon Boyd stabbed Frank Brown in the chest around 7:40 p.m. Friday at 429 Bainbridge St. after the two got into an argument, according to a criminal complaint.
The argument between the two quickly turned physical, with Brown knocking Boyd to the ground with a broomstick. When Boyd lifted himself off the floor, he stabbed Brown, the complaint said.
Brown was stabbed twice – once on the right side of his chest and once on the left side of his chest, the complaint said.
Eerie video of the aftermath of the stabbing shows Brown walking out of the building, blood on his blue shirt, as an unknown woman and Boyd — holding a white object — follow him, the complaint said.
Police officers found Brown stabbed just minutes later at the intersection of Bainbridge St. and Howard Ave., police said.
EMS rushed the injured man to One Brooklyn Health-Interfaith Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead, according to authorities.
The police handcuffed Boyd a day later.
Boyd and the victim both lived in the same building on Bainbridge Streetneighbors told the Daily News.
The maniac messer initially denied that he was responsible to investigators, but soon recanted, the complaint said.
He later identified himself as the man in the video and stated that the knife he used to stab Brown was hidden in his living room, the complaint said.
Boyd was arraigned Sunday in Brooklyn Criminal Court, where he was in custody, according to court records.
