A 57-year-old woman was killed Monday night when she was shot in the face in a lower Manhattan apartment building.
The woman was found dead in the eighth-floor hallway of the Two Bridges building at 44 Market St. just after 11 p.m., police said.
According to police, two suspects fled the building after the fatal shooting.
The pair were still on the run early Tuesday.
The victim’s identity was withheld by the NYPD while authorities notified family members.
The twelve-story building where she was murdered has sixteen apartments with balconies and views of the Manhattan Bridge.
The building also contains a kindergarten and a commercial space on the ground floor.
A two-bedroom, two-bathroom, three-balcony unit currently for sale is asking $1.38 million, according to online listings.
The investigation is ongoing.
